Aethriamanta gracilis – Pond adjutant

Pond adjutant is a small and common dragonfly with a powdery blue body and the base of the hind wing is tinted brown. It looks quite similar to the blue dasher and can often be mixed up. Pond adjutant is smaller and brighter blue than the blue dasher and lacking the brown side to the thorax.

Brachydiplax chalybea – Blue Dasher

The blue dasher is a dragonfly of the skimmer family. This dragonfly is distinctive, with males sporting a bluish body coupled with a yellowish tint at the base of its wings. It has a broad dark tip at the end of its abdomen. Females have clear wings and a yellow abdomen with a black streak.
