Neurothemis fluctuans – Common Parasol

The Red Grasshawk, also known as Common Parasol (Neurothemis fluctuans), are Singapore’s most common dragonflies. Males have brownish-red thorax and abdomen. Wings are almost entirely brownish-red except the tips and a thin tapering clear band around the hind margin from about its midpoint. Females are duller in color and has clear wings. Juvenile males look like females except for the wings markings.
